This Privacy Policy explains how TapTbl Dine collects and uses information for restaurant discovery, table access, and dine-in ordering. It applies to diners using the website and to restaurants using TapTbl as a restaurant management SaaS.

2. What we do not collect

We do not require or store username and password credentials for diner access to core website features.

3. Information we may process

  • Approximate or device location, only when you allow it, to show nearby restaurants.
  • Mobile number for OTP verification when you choose to access real table session ordering.
  • Table session details such as restaurant slug, table code, and session state to support dine-in flow.
  • Basic technical logs (for example device/browser diagnostics) for safety, uptime, and troubleshooting.

4. Consent and optional features

  • You can browse restaurants and menus without granting location permission.
  • Location access is requested only if you want nearby restaurant discovery features.
  • OTP verification is requested only if you want real table access to place dine-in orders.
  • If you decline optional permissions, core browsing remains available, but related optional features may be limited.

5. Retention period

Data related to OTP-enabled table sessions and associated operational records may be retained for up to 3 months (TTL) from collection or session completion, unless a longer period is required by law, dispute handling, or fraud prevention.

6. How we use information

  • To show relevant nearby restaurants when location permission is enabled.
  • To verify table access through OTP and prevent misuse of dine-in ordering.
  • To operate, secure, and improve diner and restaurant SaaS experiences.
  • To comply with legal obligations and resolve abuse or security incidents.

7. Sharing and processors

We may use trusted service providers (for example hosting, delivery, or OTP providers) under contractual obligations. We do not sell diner personal data.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

  • You may stop using OTP-based table access at any time.
